What to Expect

The overall purpose of Harmony Highlands is to honor God in all that we think, say, and do.  Because “His ways are higher than our ways,” we continue seeking to know His ways and to do them because He is our Heavenly Father.  “It is He that hath made us and not we ourselves.  We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.”  The following guidelines are based on our commitment, to the above, and are therefore required to be observed by all who attend.

Enrollment/Attendance

  • All individuals staying on the property, are required to register. "Day Schoolers" are required to register as well.
  • All students are required to attend classes and assemblies as scheduled.  Should you become ill or need medical attention, please notify your camp counselor immediately.  Any exceptions to the attendance requirements must be approved by the appropriate teacher and counselor.
  • All adults are encouraged to attend classes and assemblies as scheduled.
  • All students, adults and visitors are required to abide by the regulations of the school.

Camp Property

Students will be provided designated dorm room assignments for the entire week upon arrival.  Changes to dorm assignments will not be made.

All camp buildings, restrooms, and sleeping areas are to be kept NEAT, CLEAN AND ORDERLY at all times.

Visitation between students is required to be confined to public, lighted areas, both during the day and at evening.

All students are required to abide by our evening curfew and “SILENCE AFTER CURFEW’. This expectation is for all attendees that are staying in the dorms, as well as the attendees in the camper areas.

Silence after curfew

  • After curfew is called, each individual is expected to maintain silence.  This is a time reserved for spiritual meditation and physical rest.

Dress Code

  • All students, visitors, instructors, volunteers are required to abide by the dress code as noted on the "How to Prepare" page under dress code.

Leaving the campground area

  • Students are not to leave the Walker County Campground facility for any reason unless provided permission by your counselor and appropriate personnel.
  • ANYONE (INCLUDING ADULTS) leaving the grounds for any reason MUST properly SIGN OUT at the assembly building upon leaving, and properly SIGN IN at the assembly building upon returning.

Conduct

  • Inappropriate language and/or conduct will not be tolerated.
