GREETINGS, IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD, JESUS CHRIST, AND GOD, OUR FATHER.
Preparations are underway for the 22nd session of Harmony Highlands Singing School (HHSS) beginning June 18, 2017 and ending June 23, 2017. As in recent years past, HHSS 2017 will be held at the Walker County Baptist Association campground located approximately 10 miles north of Jasper. We hope that in this natural rural setting, we will gain an increased opportunity for fellowship as well as an increased feeling of God’s Spirit through the enjoyment of His creation. We are very excited about our Singing School this year and hope it will be a great experience for everyone. We welcome everyone to HHSS regardless of religious affiliation.
Students will be accepted on a first come first served basis as accommodations are limited. Registration will begin on Sunday afternoon, June 18, 2017, and students should be at the camp no later than 5:00 p.m. on that day. Dorm assignments will be provided to you upon arrival. Sunday night, dinner will be served for students and their guests. The opening session of HHSS will immediately follow dinner and will be held in the Chapel. All guests are welcome to attend the opening session.
Our theme song this year will be “May The Grace of Christ, Our Savior” - Hymn 452 in the No. 12 Hymn. The Devotional theme will be: Titus 2:11-14 "For the grace of God that bring the salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God, and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself, a peculiar people, zealous of good works." (KJV)
We will close the 22nd session of HHSS with services being held at the main tent on the Walker County Baptist Association campground on Friday June 23, 2017 at 6:00PM and ending at approximately 7:30 PM. Please arrive at least an hour early to minimize traffic congestion and ease parking in the campground at the time of the services.
And finally, without volunteers, HHSS does not exist. We appreciate the hard work and sacrifices made to assist with the organization, facilitation, and execution provided each year and hope we can count on you again! We give thanks to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for your continued financial support, loving labor, gifts of food and love. Continue to pray for us.
